1999 10 Cent Coin. What's Going On?

petef7365 Valued Member Australia 128 Posts	Posted 10/05/2020 12:33 am I watched a video on PJs coin capers and he showed a 5 cent coin with the same double rim as this 10 cent coin. He didn't know what was going on and neither do I. Any info regarding this error/variety/pmd would be appreciated. p.s first time posting with an image, be gentle ;) Report this Post to the Staff

It is a genuine mint error but not really rare and probably minor to some people. Just one of those unexplained issues that has a lot of theories. The 2008 5 cent is probably the best example of this kind of issue. I have not seen it on a 1999 10 cent though. The R of Australia is particularly interesting. Report this Post to the Staff
