I really know nothing about coins. This one struck me as odd. Pretty much the Lib is missing in liberty. Also, it seems like a week strike on the back. I thought it was wear but the rest of the coin seems to be fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Would like to see full photos of the obverse and reverse, with better lighting if possible. As it is, it appears the obverse has some Grease Filled Die issues.

@mtm, first welcome to CCF. Second, assuming that the rev is missing a similar amount of detail, then my thought is it is worth saving in a 2x2.

I added the reverse side. Hopefully this adds more insight. Thank you all for the help. So this would be a grease issue most likely?

Slight Grease Fill on the dies. When they devices are missing about 80%, then they can spark interest. Some may think these are low pressure strikes, but not the rim on all the coin above? On a low pressure strike, that rim is missing: The rim is the first clue that it is not a low pressure strike. CoopHome: Low pressure strike VS Grease Filled Dies

Thank you for letting me know so technically it is sort of an error but not enough of one to add any value!

Correct. You might save it for an educational piece to show to a new collector you meet to help instruct them.

@cbug, first welcome to CCF. Second, all of the coins from @coop's pictures that are labelled " Struck Through Grease" or "low pressure strike" were struck that way. If you have a question about a particular coin, please start a new thread and include pictures of both sides. Thx!

@Cbugsr: it would be better if you started a topic of your own and posted some images of what you have.
