Hey guys, I know these are some what on the hard to find side, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on this guy. Not so much as for a collection, but I was putting together a frame with a picture as a birthday gift and just needed the date to be clear, and the rest of the coin to be somewhat in moderate shape. I found this one, and do not have any experience with these. Is it at least real do you think? Price is $80.00 Thanks !

Certainly an above average example. As early circulated Walkers go, there's a lot more meat left on this one and it's a very nice coin. The dime is gonna cost you if you want 1916 D.

I'd call that a good looking, original, circulated Walker, F-12/15. Priced fairly.

I'd say F-12, very handsome.

Quote: The dime is gonna cost you if you want 1916 D You were not kidding, glad I went with the 1916 Barber dime ! Thanks guys, for the input, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a magnet lol. And he isn't comming off the price, so I guess the "Priced fairly" is also accurate.

I snagged it. Thanks for the input from everyone, I couldn't find another one that was acceptable for the price.

Would like to see pictures in natural light when you have in hand.
The surfaces look extremely grainy. But, this could be the lighting as well.
PLEASE post new pictures when you have in hand.

Ill do it. I'm not sending it in for grading, its a decretive gift for a "This date in History" gift. My primary thing was that the general opinion was it is real and visually identifiable with a some eye appeal.
I really couldn't find anything in better shape.
I gave the $80, he wasn't backing down and it was a new listing, didn't want to loose it as I have looked for a long time.
Thanks again.

Nice original looking coin. F-12 on the conservative side.

In hand pictures as promised. Photography is not my strong suit, but it is in hand lying on top of the holder. Guess you can compare to the sellers pictures and have two different types of pictures. It could be the sellers pictures are better.

I'd grade it FINE. I personally don't care for the toning.

I think it's quite attractive and much nicer than usually seen. Fair price and a nice acquisition!
