Hmmmmm, that's about the best I can do with these pictures. I believe that's some original mint luster coming thru on this coin.

I gotta practice with the picture taking thing.

Please do. This coin in hand should show a rich brown color, not the cold steel shade of your original pics.

Would cleaning a "woody" coin effect the woody appearance?

Normally, I don't like 'woodies very much,
but in this case,
This one is an exception. I think it helps with eye appeal.
A little bit of wear on the high point of the design, both sides.

AU-55 and to my eye, a pleasing coin !

I don't have a 2 cents in my collection in any condition. I need at least a representative piece.

I'm thinking more on the lines of AU-58 and it looks like an overdate .

Pictures still not quite sharp enough, but it certainly does look like an over date! I'd have to agree with AU-58. Sharper pics might +/- a point or two. Good eye appeal on the obverse!
