Hi, I have a sovereign gold coin of Edward VII from 1892. Has anyone heard about such a coin from that year becasue as far as I know, at 1892 only Queen Victoria coins has been manufactured.Can someone here value this coin?

Prince Edward did not become Edward VII until 1901, when he succeeded Queen Victoria on the throne. If you really have a coin dated 1892 with inscription Edward VII, then it is not a genuine coin. But we need pictures to say anything more.

Edward VII became king after Victoria died in 1901. He was king until 1910. No coins were issued in his name before 1901. What you have may be a token. Please post pictures, weight and diameter.

Probably a fake that was made in a part of the world where gold was popular in sovereign form, but with an incorrect year to be an obvious fake.
I've seen a George V sovereign with an Edward VII date.
