I hope I'm not breaking any rules (Didn't see any) and hope this was not already posted.

I found this Comprehensive Glossary of Coin Terms.

There is stuff there I still haven't seen anyone use here in posts.

If It is against the rules, just delete it with my apologies.

I've always hated all those short ways of saying some thing. Must be just old age but I'd much rather read something long than try to figure out what someone means.

This very subject hit my inbox last night in the latest issue of E-Sylum. The Numismatic Bibliomania Society (NBS) maintains a definition listing that is almost at 10,000 entries now. It is free to access and the address is here:

https://nnp.wustl.edu/library/dictionary

From the article in the E-Sylum mention last night: There are 1,854 terms, on 678 pages, in

"The Encyclopedia of Coin and Medal Technology".

If you would like an advance draft of this vital reference work it may be obtained from the author for your check of $50 sent postpaid. Dick Johnson, 139 Thompson Drive, Torrington, CT 06790.

The article on the book described and where most of the definitions come from in the NBS listing.

I don't have this book (yet).
