Hi, I was looking into this coin and liked it and purchased it, but I also noticed potential doubling, but was not sure, because it lies in the center of the reverse and I am not strong with identifying thickening of devices, and with the date on obverse, is this common to the master hub for this year, as to the 4 and 1 looking like that.

Everything looks normal on the areas you are questioning. The DDO is huge on that years motto.

This is great info, does it apply to the 1941 D issue as well. The bigger learning opportunity for noobs maybe as seen here is how do you conclude thickening of devices and how is the N in UNITED not an example of split notches or doubling as there appears to be two lines in the N. For example is thickening associated with only a Class V DD, but not a Class II?

I used the Philly dies mentioned on the title, not noticing the mintmark. But we use cent attributions from three sites. Variety Vista, coppercoins.com and doubleddie.com. There are listings for these years, but I was posting to show what a doubled die looks like. Your coin appears normal from what I can see. I was trying to help you see that the devices should be enlarged with a spread in the centers of the devices, that shows that it is from a doubled die.
