Obverse rim Cuds are a marker for die #4 but other dies have them too. This example is not ddo-004.

The rim gutter may have broken on more than one die that year. But the doubling should be present for a marker like that to mean anything.

Reverse die marker for the later die states:

Because of the rim Cud issue, the die was retired early. The reverse was matched with a different obverse and some have spotted the reverse die scratches. They made a big deal, but I don't know why. With out the doubled die, there would be nothing to save it for? IMOHO
