If it is silver, then it is more than likely either a 2,4 or 8 reales.

I regret selling mine years ago. It was an 8 Reale w/ COA. They come in different grades. I believe grade1-grade4. 4 being the least detail. I'm sure you can get it authenticated. As stated already, there are many fakes. I would recommend the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum to anyone who is ever down in Key West. It is awesome. Makes you drool when you see all the huge silver bars,gold chains,a solid gold spoon, and clumps of Reales!
