I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what a full tube of 1999 p LMC, Broadstruck out of collar, might be worth?

I visited a local coin shop looking at rolls of Lincolns (wheat & Memorials) to buy. In one of the boxes was a tube labled 1999p Broadstruck. I wasn't able to pour the coins out to inspect but the 6-7 I had a chance to view were all braodstruck and they all looked MS with some split plating issues. Looking through the side of the plastic tube I could see lots of different width coins. I know 1999 had a lot of broadstrucks for the year and can find prices for single coins on the Bay.

I was hoping to get some insight here from members as to how much to pay for the tube (50 coins). The dealer is going to look through his records.

Here is a link to a similar looking coin (PCGS MS65 slab) from ebay. This link is to give you an idea of the condition of the coins in the tube.

Here's a raw that sold for almost $12 including the shipping.

My first thought was to offer $100. There are costs and time involved trying to sell them.
Thanks to all for looking and any help.

I think somewhere not too far below the $100 range would be a fair offer.

Probably tied with 2000 for the year with the most broad struck coins. Very common in MS. I'd think about $100 but probably wouldn't go over that unless there were at least a fair number of really strong ones or some mushrooms or such things. I recently saw a roll of misc. date zinc broadstruck coins at auction but just passed entirely as I don't really want them and way too narrow a profit margin to buy them and try and one-at-a-time them. Would have been a good set for a collector though as there were a bunch of different dates.

I'd say $100 sounds fair. I wouldn't start there, but if you end up around there, I'd say go for it! Good luck!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like about $100 is the consensus.

These type of errors catch my eye but seeing a whole tube was exciting and intimidating at the same time. I don't sell online so It seemed more like another hoarding opportunity that I don't really need. It's hard to suppress the curiosity factor sometimes though.

I'll let you know what becomes of it since I'm going back next Tuesday to square up with them. If I do anything with it I'll be sure to post images. One even appeared like it might be double struck since there was a second hairline above Lincolns head.

I think presenting in the manner you just did...but putting him in the scenario as the one that has to sell them...
A one time sale as opposed to 50 sales seems the easiest.
Start low and work your way up...you've dealt with them before...they'll probably work with you again.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Yea I see them come up in bulk on the bay from time to time. They go for $3-5. The guy was selling so many he must have had a a roll of them too.
