Are Zinc Rots Holes Or Bubbles? Can They Be In A Straight Line?

Hi everyone.

I came across a penny that looks very odd to me but after reading a few posts, I'm now convinced that the odd looking penny are zinc rots. Only thing is the E in United & T is States have a straight line above it & it makes it look like it's doubled. It has bubbles in a line on the side but does zinc rot do this? I would greatly appreciate your feedback!

Zinc rot is effectively plating bubbles that have erupted, exposing the zinc underneath. In a straight line, they're called linear plating bubbles.

Split platting of a linear (or arc trace) nature can help speed up zinc rot. No matter, zinc is your friend.

Ohhh... so much to remember! Lol. I really thought I found my first error coin!! & so the line on top of the T in State is also LPB? The E also has it but can't really see it in these pics.
