Hello everyone!

I have this 1980 D nickel that appears to be the incorrect metal that I have been researching with no luck.It appears normal size and thickness. I have included a normal nickel for comparison. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Probably just discolored from being buried. Can you give us the weight?

Just FYI, you can buy a reliable small gram/oz scale on Amazon for less than ten bucks. It's an important thing to have for a coin collector.

Note the rim, the silver color is showing through were the corrosion is wearing off.
