The 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower Voyage Silver Proof Coin and Medal Set has a Mintage Limit of 5,350. It has a Product Limit of 4,850. What is the difference between Mintage Limit and Product Limit? https://catalog.usmint.gov/400th-an...uct-scheduleEdited by Hidalgo 11/13/2020 7:39 pm

Since this is a joint issue with the British Royal Mint do the limits include coins to be sold by the BRM?

I don't see any interest in this...should be low demand...

Hidalgo, The figures you listed are for the two coin gold proof set. The mintage limit for the silver medal and coin is 14,200 while the product limit is 9,200. The difference between the mintage limit and the product limit for both is almost certainly the number that The Royal Mint will be selling.

Could be, but if so, then the BRM expects to sell only 500 sets The reverse proof Au single coin also has some weird limits listed - 5,000 mintage limit with a product limit of none The same is true for the reverse proof silver medal - 20,000 mintage limit with a product limit of none

Sadly so far on The Royal Mint web site, all you can do is pre-register your interest but in some cases this is pointless since by the time you get the email notification for popular items, the item is sold out. Also The Royal Mint sometimes has similar issues that The Royal Mint does and I know at one time they were using Queue-it to control traffic into their site.

I'm ready for the inevitable s-show coming on the 17th. Will be on my laptop in the parking lot waiting for a doc appointment.... for high blood pressure. Ugh. Not gonna go well I'm sure.

Quote: What is the difference between Mintage Limit and Product Limit? Whatever remains of the mintage after the product limit is hit can be used in other product offerings.
