I have been looking for the past several months for my unc roll of semi key Morgans. Well, it is obvious they are gone. The only thing I can think is that one of the contractors we had in here stole them. Of course I cannot prove it but there is no other explanation. It was one of the kingpins of my collection. This really makes me mad. they are irreplaceable unless I spend a ton, which I will not do as they were much cheaper at the time when I got them.
Oh well. Terrible end to a terrible year.

Sorry to hear of this. I hope they show up and you are wrong. Not only does having someone take or damage your property harm you financially but I have found being violated like that hurts horribly both physically and mentally. I have been violated. I am not a religious person but have some faith and even superstitions. Look at the ST ANTHONY PRAYER for lost things.

Probably a long shot, but have you checked any nearby coin dealers or pawn shops to see if that roll walked in? Sorry about the Morgans.

call around, if you have a list to provide shops with dates/MM. Would be tough to prove, but if someone did coming walking in solely trying to sell the exact dates and happened to be someone you knew, odds are better. Sorry to hear about this, best of luck!

Since "misery loves company" maybe this will make you feel a little better....I have a safe deposit box with my valuable coins (and other stuff) in it. About a year ago I went to inventory it and a gold 2017-W American Liberty coin was not there. That's 2k+. I've never taken anything out since I started renting the box about a 5 years ago. Best I can imagine is that when I took items out in the sewing area it got accidentally dropped on the floor. If so, someone had a really good day. I don't think someone from the bank entered my box (if that's even possible. I don't think they would have just taken that item as there are other similar coins in the box they probably would have taken as well.

All my coins are well hidden and enough that sometimes I can't find them. Really hope your coins shows up.

thanks for the kind words everyone but I am sure they are no longer here. my fault for not having the better stuff in a safe dep box, but it's too late now. I had checked the local shops a while ago with no luck but it may be time to check them again.
I will never forgive myself for allowing this to happen.

I had a thought. Why don't you contact the boss of the contractor crew or better yet, owner of the company in a non accusing manner? Maybe he might recall something odd about one of his crew and some silver dollars. I am sure if any boss had a thief on his crew, he would want to know.
