Too linear.
More likely a die scratch.

Looks more like an issue with the planchet pre-strike. It may have been a cut/split on the plating that after the strike allowed the zinc to get oxygen and started to rise/rot. As I mentioned, it had to happen before the strike. If it were caused by a coin scratch, then why does it pass behind the raised devices? The obverse appears normal.
