I found an envelope at a state sale that had several coins taped to a piece of paper. I noticed that it was clear tape and you could see mint errors thru tape.On one coin I removed tape to see error and it was visible but on others you can only see ERROR thru tape.
My questions are are this really errors?
What type of errors are them? , does the tape damage coin and value? All the coins look new like just out the mint.
I appreciate any input from experience collectors.

Yes because it can leave behind dried adhesive (which looks like a mint error), but also because it can lead to uneven toning as the tape protects some areas of the coins. I'd give these coins a well-ventilated bath in acetone.
