Just saw this on another website. So I'm sharing here, not my photo, nor did I find the coin. It does not appear to be a counter struck coin either, more likely engraved and heavily buffed afterwards on the obverse as the reverse shows no counter damage, which would appear if counterstruck more than likely. Appropriately the creator chose the American Samoan NP Bat Quarter too. "Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013! I'm not saying that's the case here, but I'd find little difficulty reproducing the image using a second layer in ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR. That fact doesn't dampen the humor abit methinks!

That's fun. Agree it would be an easy image to fake.

Has anyone else paused to sample the gallows humor this piece offers? It's hidden in the reverse.
I'll wait before I spill -- see if another poster has caught on.

I posted this pic I photoshopped on 3-13-20 someplace. Not funny for me anymore. I'm sick of it all.

Okay, enough of my silliness! What I see in the original post is an extremely carefully chosen coin.
In the search to place Covid-19 blame, the first stop was the virology lab at Wuhan. It was an escaped man-made biological weapon. No. Geneticists proved Covid-19 came from nature.
Next stop, pangolins, an endangered species of mammals clad in scales and ingested as medicine in rural China. Nope. They all test negative.
Last stop: bats. Current belief is they were the virus's last stop in nature before devising a path - yet undiscovered - to human cells. I deem that to be someone's gallows humor.

I'm a dolt here. Don't understand " he didn't do it with a W quarter!" Didn't he do (it) with a Washington quarter?

I find it interesting how they polished the nose and mouth away.
