I have a 1946s penny. New to this forum but would like to know what errors are on coin and if worth anything.the pictures dont show exact coloring. I put next to another penny for comparison
Sadly, no errors. Just a '46 S Wheat cent which has been around the corner a few times--and has paid the price for it. Lots of damage mixed with a healthy dose of circulation. Copper, being a relatively soft metal, can get nicked and gouged rather easily.
Looks like a parking lot coin. Just a Wheat cent now. If it were a variety coin, it would be a problem coin. The damage could lower the premium to that could remove 90% of the coins value. (Even if it were a single scratch)
