Hello Everyone,

Do you agree that there is a die crack on the reverse of this 1983 penny running from the "E" in "one", through the "C" in Cent, and down to the rim? Any value here?

Thanks,

Might be a linear plating bubble, it seems that's fairly common on 1983 Cents.

Wait for opinions from others though.

I can't tell if it is raised or incuse on that area. If incuse it might be a struck through or damage. If level with the surface it might be a stain. If it is raised it maybe a die crack or slight die gouge. Just can't tell. But this coin is a keeper. Note how it looks so shiny? It looks like an earlier die state. If it were mine, I save it as a fresh die example and keep it as that.

I agree with @nevol that it looks like a linear plating bubble. If so, you may be able to depress it with the tip of a wooden toothpick.
