Found a 1918-S yesterday! He's in nice shape, too--I checked the PGCS coin site and I'd say F, maybe even VF.

Not a lot of finds of late but good "quality".Last week a 1922D. This week a 2011P-1DO-004.See pics here https://goccf.com/t/129158
I also found a 1994P I believe to be a 1DER-023T stage D but could not get good photos.I hope to be setting up a photographing desk where I will be able to fine tune the lighting.

edited to include: I actually got this from a CWR - the other one I linked to was from 2 solid date rolls that I bought above face ($2.50) BUT this bad boy only cost me a penny!

On 10$US of pennies:

251 copper pre 1982,
28 copper 82/83,
11 nice 60s/70s, (nice = better then I think they should be for being circulated based on what I see others as on average)
15 nice 2k+,
13 nice 80s,90s
6 cool damaged (I collect lol),
5 toned (new to collecting so cant say if they are nice or not),
2 cool (non damaged), just struck my fancy.
2 2009,
1 canada,
9 wheat,

6 2006+ that I think are proofish. extra extra fine for being circulated.
1 1961 still sorta shiny that I'll post later when I can photograph again. Dont know how to grade yet.

I have fun and collect for what I could call 'personal reasons'. Maybe someday I'll get into all the tech and spec of error hunting but I prefer to collect like above and then over time work out what I really wanna save. So long as I'm having fun I'm not so worried about saving $1 in 'worthless' pennies out of 10$s. They say you should put 10% of your income into savings atleast anyway lol.

LOL. I doubted I would find a semester of college tuition penny lol so I was curious what happened. Two of my pennies are 82s but the 2 is damaged in a way that looks like a 3 to my naked eye.

I have a reading impairment where unless the information is part of a dialog I have a very hard time consuming it. So I didnt pick up on the idea that an 83 not only 'could be' copper, but is also rare like that. I seemed to have only assimilated the part that said it might be copper and so I've been searching for 82/83 coppers all along just for their melt value.

Atleast I am glad I keep my 82s/83s seperate from my pre-82s. Wouldnt been an unhappy camper wondering if I have some wierd 83 copper hiding in my quart ziplock bag of 500+ pre-82s lol.

Is amusing though. Never would have thought to double check if someone hadnt said something.

Check all 1983's by sound or by weight - if they are BU I weigh them - if not - slam em on the table and listen to the ring - if you can't hear it than it aint copper.
