Without magnification, I'm unable to see the mint mark on this quarter. I was wondering if this is a grease strike or just some kind of wear/damage. Thoughts?
Yes the mintmark is a bit hard to see as it is almost flat compared to the surface of the coin. I'm on the fence as to whether it is circulation flattening, a little grease in the die, or some of both.

Looks more like a almost full Grease Fill. Note that the motto above and the mintmark looks wider than normal. It not as what you are seeing is the base of that devices. The more grease, the more the device goes away.
I make these responses in a form that will help make something stick. (Also it saves me a lot of time typing out a long description, when a picture is worth a thousand words)
