I do not collect quarters but do not think this coin is worth 650 bucks and 50 dollar delivery to boot.item no 192971475023

That Quarter has been modified. There is no 1947 "close ML" variety. It looks like someone has stuck what looks somewhat like a ML on to create a rare coin. It's not even the right shape or size. Just think, if there was such a variety, it would not be a "one of one" as there would be 100's of thousands of them out there as it would have to be on the striking die.

There is such a variety.
In fact I own one.
So this coin can't be 1 of 1.
They are hard to find, but not rare.
The maple leaf was hand punched into the individual dies not into the master.
There are a number of different locations for the leaf but most don't attract any notice.
There is no market for leaf position varieties, it's not even worth 2% of what the seller is asking.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

It looks like a "dot" mark with a die chip in/on the "dot" and not a maple leaf on purpose.
