WOW! What a fantasic looking coin. Wish I had one. It's cool. Look at how clear liberty is. That must cost a fortune. the writing and the shield are so clear. What a beauty of a 50c piece. Ooooo I want one.

That's what I though.

Teach me! f12? Clasp is visible, but barely...curl above it ditto.
lower date merges with rim, yet top rim is more defined. Don

In my opinion, it's a definite F12. The clasp is visible with the finer details worn. All of the finer hairlines are worn, though there is still some definition. I think the weak 0 on the reverse is due to a combination of wear and weak strike. The rim is beginning to bleed into the tops of the letters on the reverse, but I don't think it's enough to knock this down a grade yet. As an added bonus, I believe the surfaces are original. If it has been cleaned, it was very, very long ago and has retoned nicely.

In the next couple of weeks, it will be sent to ANACS. I'll be sure to let everyone know what the grade it gets.

Change in plans and I almost forgot to post it here. I decided not to send it in to ANACS and am selling this coin. It ends on Thursday night and was at $22.29 at the time of this posting. The pics in the listing are different from the ones posted here - still obviously the same coin but I think the lighting is better.
