I accidentally posted this in the wrong place originally and tried to fix it but the system wouldn't let me so I have confidence in the admins to help me with my mistake..

I have never seen the coloration of a dollar like this. It doesn't look like it was colored by someone after being minted but if not is it a fake something? Can it be smudged at the mint like this? I would love to know.

Looks PMD to me. Why would anyone fake a one dollar note?

I don't know much about paper currency. My only question: Why would someone fake a dollar bill? Maybe it went thru the laundry a few times.

People don't tend to check smaller denomination bills so making counterfeit singles would go less noticed than say a twenty or fifty.

It appears to be a genuine, well worn dollar bill with post BEP damage. Spend it.

I already had I could atleast tell from the paper it was real. My boyfriend is a printer.
