Hi everyone, I came across this 2006 D Quarter a few days ago. I was wondering if anyone has seen one that looks quite like this. The weight of the quarter is only 5.4grams so it's a little light. I noticed it from the start due to its strange feel and appearance. Has the appearance of almost like an ancient coin but no such like road damage sort of speak. Hopefully someone has seen this before...thanks

Looks like it took a bath in some acid.

Either an acid bath or a crude counterfeit of some sort.

Road kill or maybe even buried at some point in it's life, but definitely post mint damage ( PMD).

to the CCF!

p.s.- in future postings, please no shots of your monitor... direct camera photos are 100% better.

Just a face value coin. No premium for a damaged coin.
