Huh...just found this one.

Guess this is my day for LAMs.

Honestly I love this one.

These on a BU coin will reduce the value of the coin. I've tried to sell them years ago, but no one was interested in them.

I've had the same experience. But perhaps serious collectors like tropical bats would pay a premium.

Haha indeed TCD!

Yep you're correct Coop. When it comes to actual quality coins that have value on their own, it's best if they're kept pure. Anything like this will just decrease the value as you said.

But on circulated coins such as this, it increases the price by a decent amount. In reality the price doesn't concern me because I have no intention of selling any of my finds unless I was offered a fair price out of the blue, or I find duplicates, which only really happens often with varieties. T

EDIT: Perhaps Coinfrog, when it comes to variety and error experts, I've not no clue if they would want something like this on a BU coin. I'm sure it would be very interesting nevertheless.

The market has definitely changed. Looking at SOLD lamination Lincolns on ebay, some sell for ridiculous prices.
But seems you have to add the word "RARE" in your description
