Hello everyone. What can I do to stop this from deteriorating more?

There's nothing you can do - this coin is a cull, badly corroded, and will never be worth more than 25 cents if that.

Soak in Acetone then soak in some kind of oil. Tr to find an oil that is not corrosive though. Naturally spraying it with a clear Paint of some kind sure wouldn't hurt either.

but if you want to..acetone bath and then just nose oil it for a few days

Both of the 1883 indian heads I found are corroded. But I still like them!

Give it a proper burial !
No hope for that coin, it is dead .
Take 20 bucks and buy a decent coin.
That will get you a pleasing EF coin .

It was in a roll from the bank I will keep it. Lol in time I may buy better ones but not right now.

Cover it with vaseline, and wipe off. That'll make it anaerobic
