Very new to coin hunting. Is this Mint damage, or done so in circulation? If it is some kind of error, what type is it?

@jxx, first welcome to CCF. Second those roughly parallel linear marks across the front of this cent all look like damage (not a mint error) to me.

Post mint damage to the obverse. Scrapes so deep you can see the zinc under the copper (the grey colour). Spend it before zinc rot sets in!
