Hey guys. So I got these two 2020 Kennedy half dollars. One from Denver and one from Philadelphia. When I was looking at the Denver coin, I noticed there's this weird curl in Kennedy's hair. The Philadelphia coin does not have this. Has anybody else noticed this? Is this curl there on purpose? Just didn't know if anybody else had seen it. Thanks for the help in advance!

It's the reeded edge of another coin the hit/struck your coin and damaged it.

Huh. Because it is attached to a strand of Kennedy's hair. Would that still be the case when it looks like it is a piece of the hair?

Unfortunately another coin with a reeded edge came into contact with the affected area leaving that impression.

There's a chance it could be a strike through--if not contact with a reeded edge. Value? Well, most likely 25 cents.
