Is this anything special ? I'm a newbie and I am puzzled with this coin . Only thing I can think of is that is was perhaps melted a bit but it's kind of hard for me to imagine the lettering would have stretched the way that is seen in this quarter . Is it a printed error coin or was it affected after printing . Thanks all :)

@mtf, first welcome to CCF. Second, I don't think that this coin was melted, but I agree that the letters have been stretched in a funny sort of way. The coin was damaged, but it looks more like mechanical damage to me.

You can use your imagination how it may have happened but your coin is damaged. Coins are minted not printed. Paper currency is printed.
