Hello, I picked this CC Morgan up at a county auction. It was in the old black holder pictured. I've included a high-resolution scan of the coin along with a few photos. Where do you think it would grade? I see some frost on the raised portions. Unfortunately some dings along the rim and a few minor bag marks on the obverse. The reverse is nearly flawless. Thank you

MS63+ semi Prooflike appearance . Nice coin . Just that one little issue in the obverse field in front of the bottom of the nose .

An MS-64PL grade would not surprise me. to the CCF!

She also has a couple little nicks off her forehead. The rim dings are disappointing - couldn't see those in the auction photos.

I'm all in for MS-64. The holder looks like from Capital Plastics.

Nice pick. I'd say solid MS-64, PL would have to be determined in hand. Most of the obverse hits to the cheek look relatively superficial and are accentuated by the frosty devices. Could have a shot at a higher grade if it weren't for the rim hits.

Thank you all very much for your input. I'll think I'll send this one off for grading!

I've been collecting coints since Christmas morning 1979 when "Santa" gave me a beginner's coin collecting kit. Started with a handful of Morgans that my grandparents had squirreled away. Every Christmas they'd give me another (plus 1 each for my 2 sisters) and they all went into my collection. Now about 130 Morgans later I'm tracking down the last 13 years/mint marks that I need.

MS64, maybe 65 on a really good day. Not PL IMO. Nice coin!

First, Nice coin! I could see MS-64 here. The issue of a PL designation is tougher. That's not an easy call from photos. PCGS requires clear reflection in the obverse and reverse fields from 2"-4" away. The third photo suggests some clouding in the obverse fields that might reduce reflectivity.
