What do you think of this 1874 Seated Liberty dime (arrows).
My guess would be XF40. Or perhaps VF35-Choice.

To me, the weakly struck reverse holds this to VF-35 tops, if even that.

VF30, not a big fan of the weak reverse, drops the eye appeal, for me at least.

Agree with the softish appearance of the reverse, but I do like the obverse.

It's a much tougher 1874-S, with the more common micro-S variety, rather than an 1874. That's about a $90 swing in value.

The reverse weak strike is common for this date and mint. The head is also weakly struck on 1874-S. Interestingly, it does not have both full die breaks on the reverse, suggesting an earlier die state.

Adjusting for strike, I'm at VF-35 obverse, VF-30/VF-35 reverse, net VF-35.

VF30 or 35. could swing either way. the eye appeal and several digs could hold to the 30 especially value wise

This coin is offered and priced as a straight 1874, no S.
