to CCF. Here is a link https://en.numista.com/Get an idea on any that may have a decent premium and post a full coin photo of each side along with one or two close ups when needed in the proper sections of the forum. John1

I am curious about the large one with the shield in the center of the photo, and the silver one to its left, which look in nice condition, and at least 300 years old (unlikely they are detection finds based on the condition). Though replicas are also a possibility.

Ha ha... I just found one of those in a bulk lot the other day. Never seen one before. Were they all prize tokens? What was their function? Besides lots listed on ebay I couldn't find anything on their purpose. Thanks

They were sent through the mail as a promotion along with Prize draw "65" entry details (I don't think it was in 1965 but more recently).
Readers digest were one of those companies who once they had your details would write every month or so, and send rubbish "on approval" in the hope you would buy it....

A box of coins like this would give me many hours of enjoyment searching for the country of origin.Any with Queen Elizabeth II should be easy to track down. Many of those have the country of origin on them. Google any legible wording on the unknown coins and you might just get some indication of origin for checking on Numista.

@bbb, first welcome to CCF. Second you may have some luck using the "coin-o-scope" app on your smartphone. I'm in no way associated with this, but have found it to be pretty good at figuring out what modern coins are, regardless of what language inscription they have. Here is a link to a previous thread where I talk a little more about this: http://goccf.com/t/361606
