I'm putting some Lincoln cents into 2x2's today and came to this one. What is the correct terminology for this error - A die break, Cud, other.....?

I think that's a Cud but it's different than I would have expected.
Could be a retained die break that would soon become a Cud.

Retained die break, on the cusp of becoming a Cud (after the break falls away). Nice example.

Congrats - That is a nice find.

I like that better than a straight Cud or the standard RDB.

Excellent example and should be easy to look up on Cuds-on-coins.com to get an attribute number. These were known as Retained Cuds forever, but recently were re-named pre-cuds. I am not in favor of this name change and still use Retained Cud when filing these.

@tropicalbats - that's a great site. I think this is the one.

Will, I was watching your auction to see what that went for. Good price! Hadn't recognized this one as RCD-01R though as have been just blind busy the last couple days and haven't been able to look into anything very deeply.
