This 1954 P LWC has been sitting in a bag a of other wheats for quite some time and decided to go thru them. It appears to have had a weak second hubbing and what makes think it may be the case is there is a slight raised area right above the top left of the 9 of the date. It isn't from a dent as you can see there has no hits in that area to push the metal. A curiosity for sure. Thoughts?

@jim, could it just be a tiny die chip right on that upper part of the number 9?

Not really going to be able to help you here, but... It could be a DDO but doubling in that area isn't known from dates in that general time frame. Die chips abutting the numerals however are known from the mid-1950s. So might be this or that but odds leaning against.

I do wish you could figure out how to post larger images. On my screen those images are less than 4 inches wide, which is pretty small when looking at something that small. Quality is excellent, just would like them larger.

Looks like a contact mark on the 195 area. Not a doubled die. The 'L' maybe a slight Grease Fill issue. Looks like a nice hole filler in an album. But not a coin to sent in for grading.
