Here's a 10c that looks quite nice except for some minor damage on the reverse. It's hard to see without magnification but hard to un-see with it. How high a level of concern would you have about this? Where does this fall in the "Details" vs significant hit to grade spectrum?

Any thoughts welcome...

Stellar Obverse, but looks like something struck the middle of the Reverse. Three of the letters have been sloshed, but I imagine its very hard to see that damage without magnification.

This one is a tough call if you're looking to buy it. Depends on price I guess.

Thinking about it but also just curious to see what people think of this bit of localized damage. I bought an 1876 NFLD 5c, graded AU-55 last year in spite of the fact that it's got a somewhat similar scratch on the reverse (I posted about it here). Again, it's not visible to the naked eye but once you look with a glass it's there forever and ever and ever. But I'm satisfied with the purchase because the rest of it - obverse and the rest of the reverse - is stellar. Similar case here. And this one is much cheaper. Might make an offer anyway....

A damaged coin is a damaged coin.
No assignment of grade can change that.
Grade is not a price tag.
That's a $30 dollar coin.
In the long run you won't be happy with this coin.
I'm sure you can find better.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
