I have some Indian head pennies and I think are in great shape but not sure. Do they look ok or are they cleaned? Looking for opinions as I want to sell them. Friends have told me they are good but I wanted a second opinion.

I'm guessing they've both been cleaned.

Good to go, but at a lower price.

I don't like the color of them . Where and how were they stored ? In a holder or not ?

They look sort of mid-VF, should be a nice even brown color. Doubt they would fetch more than a buck apiece.

Barely worth the effort to sell them. Maybe better to gift them to two young collectors who would appreciate them!

I don't even remember where I got them so not sure how they were stored but it was about 3 years ago. The color is pretty accurate and that's what threw me off. They do have lots of detail though at least compared to a lot of the ones for sale out there.

They are bronze, not nickel-brass, which is often referred to as copper nickel, (like Flying Eagle cents), so they should normally tone like ordinary bronze coins. But they haven't, so it follows that they have most probably been cleaned.

Appears most think they have been cleaned and they look it.
