I'm down to filling the last five holes for my Indian Head cents album. I have a new Dansco 7101 which I paid $20 for a while back. Most of my coins for this album are still in their TPG slabs, waiting to be cracked out once I have all the coins I need. But I just realized something about this particular album: one of the holes I need to fill is for an 1869/69 overdate. It just occurred to me that it would cost less money to purchase a different album, which doesn't have a hole for the overdate, than it would be for me to find and to buy the coin. So I would like to ask y'all if you know of a nice album (not a folder) for Indian Head cents that does not have a space for the 1869/9 coin.

I was going to recommend an Intercept Shield IHC album BUT it has a spot for an 1869/69 also. Keep looking. Whitman does too. Just checked Littleton and theirs includes the FE's including the 1856. Harris doesn't include the 1869/69 BUT has the "force fit" holes instead of plastic slides. If you want a reasonable album it looks like you'll have to accept one with room for the error coin.

Thanks, kanga, I have a lot of Capital Plastics holders, but not that one. Concerning the albums, maybe the 1869 error coin slot is common to most of them. I could always look for a G-VG coin for that slot (since my 1877 is a low grade). My latest Capital Plastic project:

You could always put a blank cent in that hole as a filler John1

I made a custom Dansco album with two blank cents pages. If you want labels for the holes you will need to do that yourself, but I opted to not label them. Turns out there are dates right there on the coins. This album also has two blank pages each for Buffalo (Bison) nickels and Mercury dimes.
