Machine Doubling can look differently from different examples. All are caused by the machine. If I was going to give a name to this type, I would call it lift
Machine Doubling. This probably happened on the way up of the dies.
Types I've seen of
Machine Doubling:
1. Classic
Machine Doubling.

Most common type found.
2. Ejection doubling.

Caused by machine during the exodus from the chamber.
3. Push doubling.

When the
Machine Doubling is pushing the devices beyond the normal size of the devices.
No premium for any of these as they are just caused by the machine.
Machine Doubling also happens on doubled dies:

Note on these, all the dates are showing a
DDO (the big one), but note the yellow arrows. That is pointing to the
Machine Doubling. The spread on the
DDO's are in all direction on these devices, while the
Machine Doubling is just in the same single direction (N/S) and flat and only affects the outside edges of the devices in that direction. So because it is a doubled die, the doubling is on the die. But
Machine Doubling is caused by the machine and can affect doubled dies.
