I was looking at this ring. My built in microscope LED light puts a ring of white dots onto a coin surface where this unit might put the dots outside of the coin because of it's wider diameter. Has anyone tried this product?  |

I have one, but I don't use it since it's so big. I prefer the smaller Angel Eyes LED ringlights, but you need to provide your own 12v power supply and mount the lights yourself. It's pretty easy.

Has anyone tried the Neewer Ring 48 though? That looks like something I could somehow attach right to my microscope housing. Even if I used some epoxy and spacers to center it to the base of my scope. This isn't the big ring on a tripod, it goes right onto the camera lens. For $20 bucks shipped on a cheap scope I already have seems to be a worthwhile gamble to me. The whole problem with the scope is lighting.  Edited by TNG

yeah I have taking some of the smaller ring selfie lights apart and attached to my light extender and found the hertz where way to strong so it would put flicker lines in photos.

I always question when folks are worried about their lights being bright enough. Lower light intensity just means that exposure time has to increase.

i have it set at iso 100 f11 and 1/25 for the angel light for my other light I have its at 1/160 thats y I was wondering if you centered the light or left it open area light.
