While it's debated whether this is a legitimate doubled die, I believe it to be.

Im with John except I found an ok looking one and then ended up picking a nice one on ebay years ago. Today, I have 0..Great find I believe it to be a gouge. Being a high spot on the die, I can see it happening. Like the DDOs with the small "extra eyelid" could very easily be a a well placed die gouge. Unless its an extreme doubled eyelid, like the 55D or 43S DDO-001, I dont keep them. I would like to find another one of these ones though.

Thanks everyone.
Fair enough Kloccwork, I can see how it would be a die gouge too. It is an unusual one for sure.

The problem is that the hub looks nothing like that on that area. So it can't be a DDO. More of a die chip/break.

CRH find or a purchase? Either way, excellent coin. I know there's some debate as to whether this is a DDO or a well-placed die dent, but either way it's very cool and seems to be pretty rare from what I can gather!

Hm I see Coop, maybe it's time for me to relabel the 2x2.
Thank you oddguy! No problem!
It was a purchase from about a year ago.
