Guys, what do you think of this 1873 Seated Liberty dime /w Arrows? I think the obverse looks better than the reverse. Maybe XF40/VF30.

I'll say VF details (ED, scratched).

Where do you see the Environmental Damage?

I'd say Net VF35, possibly XF. Likely Details as well with the two scratches. 1st running N-S across the right leg and through the shield. 2nd running E-W in the fields across the left leg and looks like it may even carry into the shield.

I'm at XF details also due to the deep vertical scratch across the shield

I am torn whether or not I should make an offer. At regular magnification size, I think the scratch will not be (or barely) visible. And it would be the final coin to complete my dime set...

I think the details are VF(30-35). I am comparing it to an 1837 Seated dime I have that I sent off to PCGS 10 years ago and was slabbed as EF(40). This coin's details seem slightly softer.

Made an offer to the seller. We'll see what it looks like in hand. If not appealing, I can always return it.

To me, the splotchy dark toning (especially on the reverse} might be built-up oxidation due to ED.

I don't like the area around the date. I say cleaned and retoned

This date often has a flat strike; this one could make XF-40 for detail. The dark toning is approaching corrosion and the scratches don't help. You should be able to find a better example at a reasonable price.
