That is the serifed S mint mark and to date, none have been found inverted.

ANACS actually graded one and put "Inverted S" on the holder. I am not saying it is one, but that's what ANACS thought.

The S on the coin in this thread is NOT inverted. It is normal.

If ANACS certified a coin that looks exactly like the one in this thread as an inverted mintmark, they made a mistake. Simply put.

There is only ONE die known to have an inverted mintmark for 1946S, and it's a ball serif mintmark style. This die has the large serif S.

It did not look like this one whatsoever. It was inverted.

This one does not look inverted.

The larger portion of the S should be on the bottom.
