Is this a clad error or junk? What looks black is dark red and the other is light to medium red color? What do you think? Thank you for your response and time.
See the silver color on the tops of the devices? That is where the residue has worn off the coin. On a missing clad, the color does not rub off and show a silver color. Just coins found outdoors show this. Often call metal detector finds: Spender.
Thanks coop that I will keep in mind... If the coin is missing clad layer in time would the red start turning dark and even almost black? Like an antique with patina.
