I'll say, this thing is butt ugly. Real shame too, it's a good RPD and a scarce date but dang. There's chunks missing from it. Thought you might enjoy some numismatic horror

You never know with ebay I once found an iPod touch (maybe a 2nd generation model)? I found it in our parking lot at work and had been driven over at least 10 times, the screen was falling out, the back was just as cracked and the frame was bent. the back light still came in if I plugged in my old connector, but you weren't seeing anything and nothing was recognized on a computer. The only reason it was still holding together, was it had a silicone case around it, it shed glass shards every time it was picked up, LOL. Tossed it on ebay for a parts sale - my roommate thought I was nuts he said just toss it nobody will buy that junk, Challenge accepted!

It sold to a guy in Israel of all places, he paid me $45 + another $10 in S&H then gave me outstanding feedback. and already 6 bids! It was the best $50 I ever found.

That said, I've bought a cool Two Cent coin almost as bad as your IHC Grape. I got it for the cool die breaks on the reverse. Even 2 weeks of sitting in Verdi-Care can't help it. so much corrosion it looks like barnacles on the reverse.

It only sold for $4.25. He might have made more if he listed it as a barnacle that resembled an 1864 IHC...
Rest in Peace

Don't spend the proceeds all in one place.

Just think of how much more you could have made if you listed it as

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone! That was one tired coin.

That's what some of us call a "Cobblestone Coin." It's spent a good deal of time in the road being pounded by horse shoes and buggy wheels. Just PSD. (Pre Street Damage)

Glad you all are enjoying this lol. It was one ugly coin. I only bought it for the RPD and paid like $0.50 for it, but I hated just having this around it was that bad.

Missed opportunity! Would have sold for 100x the price!

Probably, but even then this is REALLY bad for a detecting find. Maybe saltwatery soil would do this but not much else.
