Adamson 25, to this site. My parent named me after Thomas the Apostle ("Doubting Thomas"), so like most here we need to SEE pics of coins before we can make somewhat intelligent comments about them. Sometimes it's a hassle to post pics (after I get mine the proper size I normally 'lose' them), and showing pics of edge lettering (like you'd have to) is even tougher to do, but hopefully you can get it done. Good luck and welcome again!

I recall when the mint first started making the edge lettered coins (I think the gold dollars were the first), some coins went through the edge machine twice creating a new type of error coin. As you go all the way around, are there any more anomalies? It looks like a 2 that got smashed down or a MM, is it raised up from the surface?

It looks to me like the 2 transferred an image to the plastic and you are seeing the transferred image next to the 2 on the coin.

It looks like a 2 at 1st glance but when you look close and hard you can see the bigger belly of the s not 2 on the bottom I'm and it is not the glare of the plastic I wish I was that good

Quote: It looks like a 2 that got smashed down... Now that you say that, it is what I see. The bottom cure of the "S" is wider at the bottom; looking at just the outline I see a 2.
