Is the reverse part damage also? Pliers damage has to have both sides. The date damage is interesting.

Nope, just normal circulation wear.

Also, by pliers, I assume you mean the hand tool, right?

I don't see an image of the reverse.

It may not be pliars in the conventional sense, but something 'like' plairs could have made the damage.

Anyhow, it's of little consequence what caused the damage. It could have been some kid with a punch tool and a lot of time. It could have been a conveyor belt pulley in a butcher shop. There are as many possible solutions as people to give you their opinion. The important part is that it is unmistakably damage.

actually the damage came from a Linckstrom 5" stallion gangly wrench.
