Looks to me about an XF-40 or so.

Agreed Ef-40.... Curious to know what people think about the schmutz on the reverse. I've always held that you should not clear a coin *ever*. But several reputable people have argued that removing dirt etc is okay as long as the surface isn;'t modified. Thoughts?

I'd say VF30, with the scratches, marks, and wear in the braid next to the ear holding it back from EF40.

The Obverse looks like it could gain from a nonabrasive light cleaning, but don't ask me how to do it. I'm afraid of touching dirt on coins. Once you touch it, it can't be untouched.

Now to ask the question on what rotation does it have? Medal or coin rotation?
