It appears to be tilted doubling (a DDR), but as noted, providing the year of the coin would be helpful.

Earliest doubled column I would know of. Having 2 of them help too. Can we get a full pic of obv and rev?

With all the different views I can't be sure what you are looking at. All my pennies look like this By the way your pics are great

Looks like a well place contact mark. Note how it is incuse on the design. If it were hub doubling it would be raised, not incuse. The reason I figured out it was not Machine Doubling is that area is the only affected area. So it is a contact mark from another coin. On a doubled die, it would be raised and not incuse. There is one example I've seen of this doubling on the head: See how it is raised? Also other hub doubling is present also.

If you read the original post, its about the column that looks like a tilted DDR in the bay with Lincoln. He posted more pics because I asked him to. I was looking for a wider view to see if there was an other die gouges that could have went up in that direction. I think it could be listed as DDR. Cant hurt sending it in to get looked at in hand. I thought this one could have been the oldest with a doubled column but Wexler has a 59 listed. I would give it a shot.

The area on the right side of the head is incuse. Your third image on the first set, shows the incuse mark the best. Just coin damage. Just realized I was looking in the wrong place. Sorry
