Seems too straight for a die crack but too thick for a scratch.

Great pictures CoinHi. Based on your pics, and seeing that there has been quite a bit of abrasion to the hammer die as shown by the other die scratches on the obverse, I would have to say, in my opinion, that this is just one thick die scratch. Not an expert by any means, just my thoughts.
